How do you assemble the sauna?
It is an easy assembly. Here is the link to our video gallery for a quick look.

Do you have certified contractors that do assembly?
Sorry, we currently do not have affiliate contractors, but assembly is very easy. It only takes a couple of people in a few hours.

Does it come ready to use or need to put together?
The sauna comes in a crate. You'll need to assemble it but it is a very quick assembly.

What are the recommended floorings for an indoor sauna?
Our indoor saunas are suitable existing flooring includes concrete, ceramic, vinyl, laminate, tile or solid floors. Carpeting is not recommended.

Does the indoor sauna come with flooring?
No, but you can definitely upgrade it. Here is the link to our indoor sauna floor kit.

Can indoor saunas be used outdoors?
No, indoor saunas are not built to withstand outdoor temperatures.

Is the electric heater plug in or hardwired?
It is hardwired and you'll need a licensed electrician.

What are the electrical requirements?
It is a 220v, 30 or 40 amp fuse (depends on heater size) with a hardwired connection.

Can a barrel sauna be used indoors or outdoors?
Yes, it can. It is able to handle all outdoor weather. It is even blizzard ready!

How do you make steam?
The steam you make in either electric or wood burning comes from pouring water on the rocks, which is the same on either one.

Can I pour water on the rocks?
Yes, of course! While some gyms and health clubs may suggest that this is not recommended, it is the main purpose of having rocks in a traditional sauna.

Can I upgrade to a wood-fired heater?
Yes, you can definitely upgrade your sauna heater to a woodburning stove.

Does it need a roof kit?
It is highly recommended to make the sauna watertight.

Which roof option would you recommend?
Bevel siding and shingles are both great and will make your pod sauna watertight. It is just a matter of aesthetic preference.
