  • How hot does it get?

    Traditional saunas can reach temperatures up to 175 to 185°F. Infrared saunas typically operate between 120 to 140°F.

  • How to clean the plunge tub?

    To clean your plunge tub, use a non-abrasive cleaner and rinse thoroughly. Regular cleaning helps maintain water quality. Follow our Cold Plunge Maintenance Guide for detailed instructions.

  • How cold can the water get with the chiller?

    With our chillers, the water temperature in your plunge tub can be reduced to as low as 3°C (37°F). This provides an invigorating cold therapy experience.

  • What's the warranty?

    For AH Saunas, we offer a limited lifetime warranty. For Golden Designs Infrared Saunas, The warranty for the saunas is a 5 year warranty on all the electronics and a year warranty on the wood and radio, if it comes with one. For Commercial Use, 2 years is the warranty. For Dundalk Leisure, we offer a 5 years warranty for the sauna and heater.

  • How much does an outdoor sauna cost?

    It cost between $3,000 and $6,000, depending on the size of your sauna and the type of wood

  • What is the lead time?

    The lead time varies by model. For Almost Heaven Saunas, units that ship from the warehouse have a lead time of 1 to 2 weeks. Custom saunas may take longer. Contact us for specific details.

SAUNA ASSEMBLY

  • How do you assemble the sauna?

    It is an easy assembly. Here is the link to our video gallery for a quick look.

  • Do you have certified contractors?

    Sorry, we currently do not have affiliate contractors but we can give referrals. Feel free to contact us for futher assistance

  • Does it come ready to use or need to put together?

    The sauna comes in a crate. You'll need to assemble it but it is a very quick assembly.

  • What are your recommendations for sauna maintenance?

    For optimal sauna maintenance, regularly clean the interior, check for wear and tear, and treat wood surfaces with a sauna-safe cleaner. Read our detailed Sauna Maintenance Guide for more tips.

  • What are the difference between .6, .8 and 1 HP?

    The 6 HP, 8HP and 1 HP are horsepower for the compressor. With a higher horsepower (HP) it can cool the water more efficiently, leading to faster cooling. In addition, a higher HP compressor can help recover its temperature faster, especially for outdoor setups. The 1 HP is designed for cooling and heating plunges up to 150 gallons. For the 8 HP, up to 135 gallons. For the 6 HP, good for up to 120 gallons.

  • What are the electrical requirements?

    Sauna Heaters require 220v, 30 or 40 amps, hardwired, you'll need a licensed electrician. To know the electrical requirements for your sauna, feel free to contact us.

  • Can you keep a sauna outside?

    Our outdoor saunas could sustain the elements like sun, rain and snow

INDOOR & INFRARED SAUNA

  • What are the recommended floorings for an indoor sauna?

    Our Traditional Indoor saunas are suitable existing flooring includes concrete, ceramic, vinyl, laminate, tile or solid floors. Carpeting is not recommended.

  • Does the indoor sauna come with flooring?

    No, but you can definitely upgrade it. Here is the link to our indoor sauna floor kit.

  • Can indoor saunas be used outdoors?

    No, indoor saunas are not built to withstand outdoor temperatures.

  • Is the electric heater plug in or hardwired?

    It is hardwired and you'll need a licensed electrician.

  • What are the electrical requirements?

    It is a 220v, 30 or 40 amp fuse (depends on heater size) with a hardwired connection.

  • Do you have an estimate on the operating cost?

  • What is the maximum temperature of an indoor sauna?

    It could reach up to 190 degrees in about 40 to 45 minutes

  • Do you have a combination of a traditional and infrared sauna?

  • What is the maximum temperature of an infrared sauna?

    The infrared sauna's maximum temperature is 150F.

  • Do indoor saunas need to be vented?

    You do not need to build any additional ventilation onto your sauna. Venting the sauna to the outside may even cause your sauna to take longer to heat up due to differing temperatures and barometric pressures. Just keep your sauna an inch or two away from your existing walls and you’ll be golden!

  • What is a wet sauna?

    "A wet sauna comes with a traditional heater, so you can pour water over the rocks and make some steam. the steam comes from pouring water over hot rocks on a traditional heater But it’s not a “steam room” It’s a steam sauna"

  • What is an infrared sauna?

    Infrared saunas use electromagnetic radiation to create warmth, allowing them to operate at a lower temperature unlike traditional saunas, it only needs up to 120 degrees to produce perspiration because infrared radiant energy directly penetrates into the body's tissue

  • How does infrared sauna work?

    Infrared saunas use infrared light to heat your body directly, without heating the air around you. The infrared light has a wavelength of around 10 micrometers, which is longer than visible light and makes it invisible to the human eye. The light penetrates your skin and heats your body before heating the air

BARREL SAUNA

  • Can a barrel sauna be used indoors or outdoors?  

    Yes, it can. It is able to handle all outdoor weather. It is even blizzard ready!

  • How do you make steam?

    The steam you make in either electric or wood burning comes from pouring water on the rocks, which is the same on either one.

  • Can I pour water on the rocks?

    Yes, of course! While some gyms and health clubs may suggest that this is not recommended, it is the main purpose of having rocks in a traditional sauna.

POD SAUNA

  • Can I upgrade to a wood-fired heater?

    Yes, you can definitely upgrade your sauna heater to a woodburning stove.

  • Does it need a roof kit?

    It is highly recommended to make the sauna watertight.

  • Which roof option would you recommend?

    Bevel siding and shingles are both great and will make your pod sauna watertight. It is just a matter of aesthetic preference.

ELECTRIC HEATER

  • What are the electrical requirements?

  • Is it plug in or hardwired?

    It is hardwired and you'll need a licensed electrician.
